Reimagining Resources for a Circular Future
Theme for the first cohort of Deep Green Innovators
THEME - The first cohort of Deep Green Innovators will do a deep dive into circular economy
Circular economy is not only essential for ensuring the green transition, but its potential is also significant. According to reports from the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Bank, only about 13.5% of global waste is currently recycled. Embracing a circular economy can lead to new business opportunities and spark innovative solutions.
But circular economy is about more than just recycling. We need to rethink our entire system to ensure that resources stay within the loop without being downcycled. This requires solutions that maintain the quality of the resources we use, ensure traceability, expand existing collection systems, and develop entirely new systems.
